Every two years, The Goddard Schools in the Seattle market hold an art auction with all proceeds donated to non-profit charities. This year the market selected local Early Intervention Services as the beneficiary, and the Goddard School in Snoqualmie chose Encompass to support.
Encompass is a community pillar in the Snoqualmie Valley known for the services they provide to children 0-8 years old. Encompass provides early intervention in many different ways – speech and language therapies, occupational therapy, physical therapy, feeding therapy and social skills therapies are offered onsite at their pediatric therapy clinic. Encompass also offers Early Support for Infants and Toddlers for children 0-3 through in home visits. Lastly, they have a behavioral health program that focuses on family therapy and parent coaching for families experiencing significant disruptive behavior and relationship struggles.
The Goddard School of Snoqualmie has a relationship with Encompass and have worked together to help with coaching teachers on behavioral issues, as well as having therapy services provided for families during school hours to help support children’s different therapies. Currently, they are working towards opening another site so that they can continue to grow and support the Snoqualmie Valley families and beyond. Why an Art Auction? For the past month, our children have been immersed in the world of creativity and the visual arts. We have also been discussing the concept of “giving back” and “philanthropy”. Each child has used their own imagination and inspiration to create a special master piece of their own to be sold/auctioned off to raise money for Encompass.
Thank You for Participating! The Art Auction is a wonderful conclusion to the children’s month of hard work and creativity! It is also a wonderful learning experience for our children to understand first-hand about philanthropy and the value of giving back to our community. Thank you for participating in our 3rd Art Auction – and for making a difference in not only our children’s lives, but also the lives of children who will receive the benefits of the services that Encompass provides.
